“A ‘pivotal moment’ for value-based care.” – Eric Rock, CEO, Vivify Health

In a recent interview with HIMMS TV, our CEO, Eric Rock talked about how the Pandemic has changed the course of action for physicians and health systems, as “physicians started going to patients instead of patients going to the physicians.”

Before Covid, most physicians were reluctant to use RPM technology, which has now been applied through force, dwindling their orthodoxies. A recent survey showed that 84% of consumers who used virtual health reported they were satisfied with the experience amidst the pandemic. Four out of five consumers said they would be interested in using virtual health in the future. The pandemic has changed the mindset and pushed physicians and health-systems into value-based care compared to fee-for-service

Vivify Health: Emerging Faster and Stronger

Since its onset, Vivify Health has been at the frontlines of the COVID -19 pandemic. The patients with chronic diseases have responded really well to the RPM technology, especially the underserved population. Eric gave full credit to a 10-year effort of scaling a patient-centered connected care platform, to achieve a seamless patient and physician experience. Vivify Health has traditionally accomplished –

  • 50% of reduction in the acute cost of care
  • 65% reduction in readmissions

During the interview, Eric talked about the importance of intelligent content delivering solutions for any possible condition, post-acute or chronic care management, that enable nurses to manage their thousands of patients all the time without being there with them. “Give tools and awareness to the care team to connect, engage and intervene, keeping the patients out of the hospital while hitting the quadruple aim of improving outcomes, patient-provider experience while increasing the ROI“, adds Eric.

With telehealth reimbursements seeing reimbursement parity with in-person during the public health emergency, RPM and Vivify platform will continue to be the foundational IT component necessary for the health organizations to work together.
