“Our team has been tracking telehealth policy changes for Medicaid for years now and the volume of change over the past 10 weeks has been incredibly breathtaking” Jacqueline Marks, Manatt Health

A webinar hosted by Fierce Healthcare last week, in partnership with Vivify Health had been a tremendous success as people across the healthcare industry came in full attendance.

The event was graced by renowned speakers in healthcare who not only shared their immense experience in telehealth and Remote Patient Monitoring but also emphasized that ‘telehealth, telemedicine is here to stay’ by sharing eye-opening insights, facts and data.

Jacqueline Marks, ManattHealth reiterates the benefits of telehealth stressing how digital weapons have increasingly become a critical element of our health systems, especially during COVID-19. She also threw light on how Federal; Medicare and Medicaid programs have overwhelmingly expanded telehealth policies in response to COVID-19.

The other speaker, Kerry Palakanis, Executive Director, Intermountain Healthcare, shared how her organization leveraged telehealth platforms with her patients to manage the onset of the COVID crisis. They had prior experience in dealing with epidemics like measles and hence they converted that workflow into COVID workflow to virtually treat and care their patients. As a healthcare organization, they have recently utilized Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) programs in response to COVID-19 and boasted how it has been a huge success for their organization.

Krista Drobac, a partner at Sirona Strategies, was thrilled to enlighten that all the barriers in telehealth policies have fallen after the current pandemic. She shared how the enormous changes in the telehealth and RPM domain are embraced by both providers and payers, evolving the mindset of the policymakers even further. She goes on to say how in a recent survey by Modern Healthcare, health system CEOs said that they saw telehealth as the biggest driver of innovation over the next year.

And last but not least Jeff Haggard, VP of Customer Development, Vivify Health, talked about how the definition of Remote Patient Monitoring has evolved all these years by redefining the care paradigm with the patients. He further delves into how Vivify Health can help customers to identify, mitigate and monitor their patients. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Vivify Health has stepped up to the community it serves by donating its time and technology.  As a leader in connected healthcare solutions, Vivify Health is offering –
